NFL preseason games just as long as regular season games?

Do NFL preseason games just as long as regular season games? I’m thinking tickets would make a great father’s day gift, but I don’t want to pay full price if the game is shorter in length in the preseason.

Who were 2 teammates of Celtics great Bill Russell who actually played preseason NFL games in NFL exhibition season?

You can also add the teams for which they played in NFL exhibition season if you want.
HINT: Concerning two of Bill Russell’s Celtics teammates who played NFL exhibition season games. Both played for a NCAA championship basketball team when they were in college. One played in the 1958 NFL preseason after serving 2 years in the U.S. Army and before joining the Celtics. The other played in the 1962 NFL preseason after being drafted in the 7th round by a NFL team before joining the Celtics. Both won 8 NBA rings each as a player with the Celtics.
Former University of San Francisco athletic official Pete Rozelle joined the L.A. Rams football team and had former USF basketball player K.C. Jones try out at defensive back for the Los Angeles Rams after K.C. Jones completed his college basketball eligibility in 1956 where K.C. Jones played several preseason games for the Rams as a defensive back in preseason of 1956. John Havlicek was drafted in the 7th round as a wide receiver by the Cleveland Browns in 1962 after Havlicek left Ohio State University in 1962. Havlicek played several preseason games for the Cleveland Browns in 1962 at wide receiver.

NFL Betting Lines – Choose the Best

July 26th, 2009
Alan Chase asked:

Although already wildly popular in the United States, the National Football League is slowly but surely gathering attention and fans in other countries as well, including European nations and Mexico. The action of the NFL is decidedly more intense and bone crushing than that of traditional football, or soccer as it is referred to in America and this makes the game captivating for audiences who love to see demonstrations of extreme athleticism. Because there are so few games played during a typical National Football League season, each game has a tremendous amount of significance to where a particular team will be left standing when playoff season rolls around. This single game significance makes NFL betting lines very popular for those fans who also want to make the success of their team payoff a little into their own pockets.

Betting on the National Football League is widely respected in the betting world as one the few sports where, if a bettor has done their research and really considered all the intervening factors before placing their bet, they can potentially reap a significant profit. For this reason NFL betting lines are becoming more and more popular each season. The key to becoming a successful bettor is taking the time to really study and understand how odds work with the NFL. These odds are also commonly referred to as spreads or lines. Once the bettor begins to really understand how the odds work, he or she will begin to better understand how the popular NFL sportsbooks set their numbers and determine the wagers they are willing to take, and at what price.

What the experienced bettor needs to understand is that most sportsbooks expect the large majority of the public to bet on the team that everyone expects to win the Sunday or Monday night matchup. These are typically known as the popular teams and because upsets do happen, it can be possible to get some really great odds if you bet for the underdog. It is important for you to realize the NFL betting lines and odds will almost never be the same at each online betting site, so it is best to shop around a little bit at different sites before placing your bet. Because it takes time to set up accounts on different online sportsbooks, it is usually a good idea for the serious bettor to open funded lines at no fewer than three betting sites so that action can be taken as soon as the odds are right.

As with any online betting venture, the amount of options and different sites that are offering NFL betting lines can be a little overwhelming to the new bettor. How can you be sure you are getting the best odds and promotions? One of the easiest ways to keep an eye out on what’s going on in the world of online sports betting is to read some of the betting site reviews that are often posted on online gaming websites. These reviews are written by knowledgeable bettors and bookies and will be the best way to make sure you join the right site.
